What I enjoy most about working at Space & Time…
Working across all media channels and so closely with clients means that every day is truly different. I feel we’re always supported and encouraged to have first-hand experience of the marketing channels and tools that we buy, manage or analyse. This is helped by fantastic client relations, but also an ethos of getting to know our clients’ products and services inside and out, so we know what we need to deliver and if we’re succeeding. All of this means I’m always learning something new too.

Away from the office you can find me…
…trying to get back into the office to escape a breakdown caused by my three wonderful boys. Seriously, I love time spent exploring, throwing and climbing stuff with the kids. I also spend a fair amount of time trying to work out the logistics of having a season ticket at Brighton & Hove Albion whilst living 160 miles away in Birmingham.

Favourite food…
Cheese – although it makes my cheeks sweat.

Favourite song…
All These Things That I’ve Done – The Killers

Favourite film…
Cling

Favourite ever ad campaign…
The Nike Airport ’98 ad, featuring the Brazilian football team, remains the reason I can’t walk through Gatwick without humming samba and hoping somebody will instigate a kickabout. However, this is pushed into second place by a website containing ‘webcam’ footage of a chap in a chicken suit who would seemingly cooperate with various typed suggestions…

Subservient Chicken – Burger King c.2004
Of course, I was never exposed to the US based TV and print activity eventually supporting the campaign, but I simply remember this as an innovative  fun use of technology in its day that relied on internet users just having a go at finding the hundreds of trigger commands to make the chicken act. What better way to flog the line: ‘chicken the way you want it’?  A classic viral campaign; initially spread by just a handful of friends of BK’s ad agency staff.

Favourite brand…
Brooklyn Brewery – purely for the sublime logo – designed by Milton Glaser, no less. Just look at it.

Favourite tech/gadget…
My phone: Emails, camera, football scores and the ability to open ticket barriers at the station. Nothing really tops that.
