UK House Builders Social Top 20 2015Site Admin
So it’s What House Awards time again and for the 3rd year in a row here is the latest annual look at how ‘social’ the top UK house builders are in one quick summary. The figures are based on fans & followers, and although this isn’t a guide to who is doing the best with their social media it does give you an idea on who is active and who is not, or that the public will like even if the house builder’s profile is dormant, so perhaps those that are should start engaging or at least post some great brand updates and imagery to stay relevant and up to date.
There are numerous reasons why social media has a place for all brands and companies and we won’t go into them here, but it has been interesting looking at all the house builders’ feeds and seeing who is doing what and how often, to what complexity or indeed engagement. It’s still a space many are struggling with whilst others have put it firmly in their coms and marketing plans for 2015.
The figures are a little different this time as we are only concentrating on the Top 20 for Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn this year out of a pool of 30 we monitor. This year we have also been looking at Instagram, but have given up on recording Pinterest and Google+ as their figures became meaningless and few use them. Instagram is interesting as so far only a few house builders have it, but there are quite a few hashtagged photos by the general public on the app that shows they like taking photos (mostly positive) about their new homes and perhaps it’s a channel more house builders should take seriously especially for younger new home buyers or indeed estate agency personnel showing off what they have to sell.
If anyone would like the full version, with all the details of number of posts, fans, Y-o-Y increases etc they are available from the agency at a charge of £100 +VAT. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org
This year’s highlights are:
