Space & Time Media launch innovative training programme

Space & Time is one of the first Media independents to utilise the new Government Apprenticeship Levy, developing an innovative training programme to upskill their 95-strong team

Space & Time Media have partnered with the Bauer Academy to launch a unique digital development programme. The Bauer Academy will act as their training provider for a brand new digitally focused training programme, based on the Government’s Digital Marketer Apprenticeship Standard.

Space & Time’s programme, aptly named ‘Velocity’, will cover knowledge, skills and behaviors that form part of a formal Digital Marketing qualification for delegates. The Bauer Academy’s digital industry experts will coach them through regular workshop sessions, e-learning and ‘live’ digital projects.

Launching in March, the 14-month long course will see an initial cohort of learners at Space & Time undertake the comprehensive Velocity programme, designed to further enhance their digital capabilities and create an exceptional community of Digital Marketing experts within the agency.  In addition to the Digital Marketing certification, the Velocity Academy will provide a learning and development framework across all levels with training options available to all staff.

Space & Time’s Chairman, Peter Jones comments:

‘This is a milestone initiative for Space & Time and signals our commitment to develop our outstanding talent, providing a natural home to the best digital teams in the marketplace.

‘We formed a ‘Space Academy’ team to champion learning and development in each of our five Space & Time UK offices a couple of years ago and now we’re excited to be partnering with Bauer to take this development to the next level. We look forward to equipping all our teams with a blend of learning and development tools built for the 21st century workplace and continuing to deliver pioneering, client first performance”

Courtnay McLeod, Director of The Bauer Academy adds:

‘We are genuinely excited to be partnering with Space & Time. We’ve been able to take a traditional qualification and build a programme around it that is aligned to Space & Time’s culture, will engage their people and is led by our Academy industry experts who fully understand the ever-changing digital landscape.

‘Being immersed inside one of the world’s biggest media businesses makes us uniquely placed as a Government-approved training provider, and we look forward to a long and successful partnership with Space & Time.’
