Amid the glitter, glamour and evening wear of the Marriott Grosvenor Square last night, the winners of the 2017 Drum Network Awards were announced. The great and the good, and some others, gathered to celebrate another year of growth, innovation and strong work across our sector.
Falling just a month after the agency’s strong showing at the DADIs and following a cheerful couple of years of award collections, expectations were high for another gong for the Space and Time trophy cabinet. The agency was shortlisted for the only award that matters, Media Agency of the Year.
Although ultimately the top prize proved elusive among a very strong field, the quality of the agency’s entry was recognised with a judges’ commendation.
Commenting on the evening, Chairman Peter Jones said “winning this prize would have meant a lot to us, but the commendation is also extremely welcome. The criteria for this award look at an agency’s performance and growth over the previous year, and it’s gratifying that the judges agree we’re on the right path. We have major plans for this business and we’ll be back next year to grab that top slot”.
